Certified Grades K - 5 Special Education Teacher - Newark, NJ

Seeking a certified Special Education Teacher eager to make a positive impact in an educational setting serving students from kindergarten through high school. Qualifications:

• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12.
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum to suit individual learning styles.
• Up-to-date knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage a classroom and support positive student behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to students with a variety of learning needs.
• Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Track and document student progress toward IEP goals.
• Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary education teams.
• Stay current with professional development and state educational requirements.
