Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt curriculum to suit individual learning styles.
- Up-to-date knowledge of special education laws and best practices.
- Proven ability to manage a classroom and support positive student behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction to students with a variety of learning needs.
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
- Track and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that encourages student growth and independence.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary education teams.
- Stay current with professional development and state educational requirements.
