Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification with a special education endorsement
• Demonstrated experience working with students in special education settings for elementary, middle, or high school
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with support staff, families, and administration
• Creative problem-solving approach and adaptability to meet a variety of learning needs
• Commitment to promoting equity and academic growth for all students

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver customized lesson plans tailored to individual students’ abilities and IEPs
• Foster a welcoming and supportive environment that empowers students to achieve academic and social-emotional goals
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional techniques when needed
• Collaborate with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams on student progress and strategies
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on educational outcomes
• Participate in school and district meetings, professional development sessions, and IEP conferences
