Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with students with various disabilities and learning needs
• Strong communication skills to engage students, families, and faculty
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in modifying instruction to meet individual needs
• Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs
• Comfortable managing classroom behaviors and supporting positive student interactions

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver tailored lessons aligned with student IEP goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records, reporting documentation, and progress monitoring
• Advocate for student needs in IEP meetings and parent communications
• Create a safe and responsive classroom culture that values every student
• Adapt instructional materials and methods to support various learning styles
• Provide direct instruction and small group interventions as needed
