Multiple contract openings are available for dedicated Special Education Teachers across various settings and age groups, ranging from preschool through grade 12. Current openings are available in several early childhood and elementary programs, with opportunities to support students in preschool, kindergarten, UPK programs, and grades 1–8. Your daily efforts will help shape a welcoming, inclusive educational experience for every learner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid New York State Special Education Teaching Certification for the appropriate grade(s).
• Master’s degree (MA) in education.
• Experience or strong interest in serving students with diverse needs in a school-based setting.
• Ability to employ evidence-based instructional strategies and adapt materials as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group special education instruction consistent with IEP goals.
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports student engagement and safety.
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities.

Enjoy a full workweek of 37.5 hours, with placements available for preschool through upper elementary and middle school settings.
