Step into a dynamic educational environment dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs. This full-time contract opportunity begins as soon as background checks are cleared and extends through June 26, 2026, with the option to participate in a rewarding six-week summer program.

Positioned within a nurturing setting for preschool through third grade and ages 12–22, this role involves working with small groups—either 8 students with a dedicated team of one teacher and three staff, or 6 students surrounded by robust, hands-on support. Students present with a range of abilities; some are verbal, others non-verbal, and behavioral challenges are met with experienced, caring professionals trained onsite. Your specialized skills will be integral to fostering growth and connection for each child.

Schedule options include 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week for a consistent, fulfilling workday.

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid NY State Special Education Teacher Certification, specific to the grade levels assigned
  • Master’s degree in Education (MA)
  • Experience working with students across different age and ability groups—preschoolers through young adults
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset for working alongside additional support staff
  • Ability to implement individualized educational and behavioral plans
  • Comfort adapting instruction for verbal and non-verbal learners, and working proactively with challenging behaviors

Responsibilities include:
