Make a difference each day supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs in a contract opportunity beginning September 1, 2026, and running through June 30, 2027. This position centers on providing specialized instruction as both an inclusion and resource teacher for 4th and 5th grade students. You’ll work approximately 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Your work will be a blend of co-teaching in general education classrooms and delivering support through push-in and pull-out resource settings. Taking on this meaningful role lets you shape learning experiences tailored to students’ unique strengths and challenges, collaborating closely with classroom teachers and support staff.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State (NYS) Teaching License—K-5 Teacher of Students with Disabilities required
  • Experience with inclusion models and resource instruction (push-in/pull-out)
  • Strong skills managing and delivering IEP-driven instruction
  • Background working with elementary-aged students, particularly in 4th and 5th grades
  • Proven collaborator with teachers, specialists, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide differentiated instruction and interventions within both general education and resource settings
  • Co-teach alongside general education staff to promote student inclusion and success
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications
  • Communicate with families and team members to support individual student needs
  • Track and document progress, participating in meetings as required
