In this part-time, contract position, you’ll work with a small caseload and deliver specialized instruction using both push-in and pull-out methods in a resource-rich environment. What We’re Looking For:
- Active Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) license
- PreK Endorsement (required)
- Prior experience working in early childhood special education is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and families
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to the unique needs of young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction to a caseload of approximately 8–10 PreK students in a resource setting
- Utilize both push-in and pull-out models to support learning and inclusion
- Create and manage IEPs, ensuring they are personalized and effective for each student
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure cohesive service delivery
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and adhere to all state and district regulations
