Key Qualifications:
- Current state certification in Special Education (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Experience working with students in grades K-2
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and progress monitoring
- Compassionate and patient approach to instruction
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for K-2 students
- Adapt lessons to students’ unique learning abilities, ensuring their academic and social-emotional progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to provide comprehensive support
- Use data-driven instruction and assessments to monitor growth and modify strategies as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth
- Maintain ongoing communication with families about student progress and goals
