Required Qualifications and Preferred Background:
- Valid 461 Special Education License required
- Gifted Endorsement highly preferred
- Prior experience teaching in a special education setting is beneficial
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP development

- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to organize and adapt lessons for diverse learning profiles
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students in either K-2nd grade or 3rd-8th grade caseloads within self-contained resource classrooms
- Design and implement individualized education plans, monitoring academic and social progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service staff for cohesive student support
- Utilize strategies that address varied learner needs and maximize student growth
- Communicate regularly with families regarding milestones and progress
- Participate in required professional development and school meetings to stay current with best practices
