Required Qualifications and Preferred Background:

• Valid 461 Special Education License required
• Gifted Endorsement highly preferred
• Prior experience teaching in a special education setting is beneficial

• Ability to organize and adapt lessons for diverse learning profiles

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students in either K-2nd grade or 3rd-8th grade caseloads within self-contained resource classrooms
• Design and implement individualized education plans, monitoring academic and social progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related service staff for cohesive student support
• Utilize strategies that address varied learner needs and maximize student growth
• Communicate regularly with families regarding milestones and progress
• Participate in required professional development and school meetings to stay current with best practices
