Key Qualifications:

• Certified/licensed as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working in a school setting, preferably with EC (Exceptional Children) students
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of learners with a range of disabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Up-to-date knowledge of IDEA and best instructional practices in special education

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with the general curriculum for students with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs while tracking student progress
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff
• Create a positive, supportive learning atmosphere tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for growth
• Organize and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all federal, state, and district regulations
