Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Current or eligibility for a North Carolina Special Education teaching license
  • Experience with inclusion models, pull-out services, and/or adaptive classrooms preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate, flexible, and responsive to students’ unique needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver inclusion services and pull-out support for high school students
  • Serve a caseload of approximately 30, following the Standard Course of Study
  • Provide individualized instruction in adaptive settings for 8-10 students with significant cognitive disabilities (some with medical needs)
  • Collaborate with teacher assistants, therapists, and nursing staff
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and educational plans
  • Utilize data-driven instructional strategies to enhance student outcomes
  • Communicate regularly with families, staff, and school stakeholders
