Current opportunities include:

  • Core positions collaborating with fellow special education teachers for co-teaching, inclusion models, direct academic instruction, and supplemental pull-out services.
  • A resource/academic seminar role, providing targeted interventions and fostering student growth.
  • Transition teacher roles, supporting students as they prepare for life after school through coordinated job placements, direct instruction, and the development and management of IEPs.
  • 5K transition teacher for a self-contained classroom, working with young learners and a supportive team of assistants, helping students integrate into general education settings as appropriate.
  • Self-contained classroom position for students in grades 6-8 with moderate disabilities, supported by two assistants to ensure students make progress in a structured setting.

Desired background and experience:

  • Current certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification).
  • Experience with co-teaching, inclusion, or resource models preferred.
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and the ability to develop and implement individualized instruction plans.
  • Commitment to collaboration with general education teachers, support staff, and families.
  • Adaptability and a growth mindset in response to the unique needs and strengths of each student.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
