Special Education Teacher | Nogales, Arizona

Embark on a meaningful assignment supporting students’ growth and educational success as a Special Education Teacher in elementary and middle school settings near Nogales, AZ. This contract opportunity spans four full-time positions at vibrant schools, focusing on resource classrooms and providing essential services to students in need of specialized instruction.

You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, dedicated support staff, and engaged families to deliver individualized interventions and support to students on your caseload. Each classroom assignment will offer a manageable caseload—30 students at three of the elementary schools and 37 students at the middle school—ensuring you have the bandwidth to make a genuine impact.

Qualifications and Preferred Background:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification, or eligibility for certification
• Experience with individualized education plans (IEPs) and compliance documentation
• Strong collaborative skills for working with general education staff and related service providers
• Compassionate and patient approach to facilitating student growth
• Excellent organizational, communication, and classroom management abilities
• Adaptability to work across multiple school sites as needed

Responsibilities Include:

• Designing and delivering differentiated instruction based on students’ IEPs
• Maintaining accurate and timely records and case management for assigned students
• Collaborating with IEP teams, parents, and staff to ensure student progress
• Implementing evidence-based interventions and supports in resource settings
