Special Education Teacher | Nogales, Arizona

You’ll lead a class of around 12 students, collaborating daily with a team of five dedicated paraprofessionals to create a vibrant, inclusive learning environment near Nogales, AZ.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience teaching special education at the elementary (K-5) level preferred
• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
• Proficiency adapting curriculum and instruction for individual needs
• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to work closely with paraprofessionals and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and challenges
• Provide direct instruction in core academic and functional areas
• Foster a classroom atmosphere that values diversity, cooperation, and respect
• Guide, mentor, and collaborate with a team of five paraprofessionals for maximum student support
• Progress monitor student achievement and modify instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with parents and educational teams
