Special Education Teacher in Nogales, AZ

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience teaching or working with elementary-aged students, K-5.
• Ability to build positive relationships and foster a supportive classroom culture.
• Skill in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with creating and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to a classroom of K-5 students in a self-contained environment.
• Collaborate with five paraprofessionals to provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support.
• Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals.
• Foster a classroom culture that values inclusion, respect, and learning.
• Monitor and document student progress, utilizing data to guide instruction and interventions.
• Communicate with families and related service providers to support student success.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
