Make a meaningful impact in the lives of middle school students by supporting their educational growth and development as a Special Education Teacher. This contract position offers the chance to work with a dedicated group of 12 students in a mild to moderate self-contained setting for the 2026-2027 school year.

Your workday runs from 7:15am to 3:15pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring full immersion in the school community with a predictable schedule. Collaborate with a supportive staff, design tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and help students excel both academically and socially throughout the academic year (August 13, 2026 – June 3, 2027).

Desired Experience & Skillset:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with middle school students in a self-contained or resource room setting
  • Ability to develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
  • Strong behavior management skills and a commitment to inclusive education
  • Collaborative mindset for working with families, administrators, and educational teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver engaging lessons for students with mild to moderate exceptional needs
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP implementation
  • Work closely with general education teachers and support staff
  • Foster a classroom environment that is supportive and structured
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress and concerns
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings
