Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting students at the middle and elementary levels. This rewarding contract opportunity extends through June 4, 2027, working full-time weekdays with a consistent schedule from 7:15am to 3:15pm.

You'll provide direct instruction and resource support, fostering academic and social growth in both a self-contained middle school setting and as an elementary resource teacher for grades K-5. The focus will be on students with non-severe needs, allowing you to use creativity, empathy, and specialized strategies to help each child reach their full potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (appropriate for assignment in North Carolina)
  • Experience teaching in self-contained and/or resource settings, ideally at both elementary and middle school levels
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Passion for working with diverse learners and dedication to inclusive education
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to IEP goals and individual student strengths
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with all special education requirements
  • Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate actively in school and team meetings, sharing expertise and advocating for student success
  • Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor student progress closely
