Special Education Teacher in Norristown, PA

An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to make a positive impact in a supportive school community near Norristown, PA. This full-time, contract role is available for the upcoming academic year and involves working with elementary grades in specialized learning support or inclusion classrooms. The position begins August 19th, providing time for educators to start the year strong and build lasting connections with their students.

There are three openings available with varying focuses:

• Learning Support for 1st & 2nd Grades, supporting small groups (up to 12 students) in Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies
• Learning Support for 2nd & 3rd Grades, also supporting small groups (up to 12 students) across core subjects
• Kindergarten Inclusion

Key Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification for Pennsylvania is required
• Experience working in elementary settings preferred
• Ability to support diverse learners in both resource and inclusion models
• Strong collaboration, communication, and classroom management skills
• Enthusiasm for personalized instruction and small group facilitation

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing targeted support in Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies to small groups
• Creating and implementing differentiated lesson plans
• Tracking student progress and maintaining documentation as required by IEPs
• Partnering with general education teachers and related service providers
• Establishing a positive, inclusive classroom environment
