This full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in the Norristown, PA area, serving students with diverse learning needs. The position involves working within the Delaware County IU 25 district with a focus on early childhood special education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to the individual needs of students in early childhood special education programs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to foster student growth and inclusion.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to ensure educational success.
  • Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment encouraging student engagement and development.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with early childhood populations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational teams.
  • Commitment to creating inclusive and supportive learning environments.

Position Details:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Caseload includes two classroom assignments: one at Aston Early Childhood Education Center and another at the Folcroft Campus in Folcroft, PA.
  • Contract role within Delaware County IU 25, supporting critical SPED needs.
