Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience supporting students with autism, emotional, or life skills needs (elementary or middle school experience a plus)
• Ability to create engaging, individualized lesson plans tailored to IEP goals
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative approach to working with support staff and related service providers

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies for students in K-8, adapting as enrollment is finalized
• Deliver lessons in a nurturing environment, promoting growth in both academic and daily living skills
• Maintain accurate documentation, including progress towards IEP goals and daily attendance
• Build strong, supportive relationships with students to foster social, emotional, and academic development
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to optimize support strategies

Assignment Details:

• Contract roles, Monday through Thursday
• June 29 – July 30
• Schedule varies: Elementary Life Skills/Autistic Support (8:30am–1:30pm), Middle School Life Skills/Autistic Support (8:00am–1:00pm), and Elementary Learning/Emotional Support (8:30am–11:00am)
• Grade levels may be determined as enrollment is finalized
