Step into an engaging contract position as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students in grades 6 through 8. Focusing on both resource and instructional needs, your expertise will help empower students using push-in and pull-out models. This full-time role begins in August 2026 and runs through June 2027, with consistent weekday hours (8:15 am - 4:15 pm, Monday through Friday).

Key Qualifications:

  • Possess or be able to obtain by end of July a Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate in Special Education K-12
  • Current, full certification only (PA), as emergency certifications are not being considered
  • Experience or passion for supporting middle school learners in an inclusive, resource-based setting
  • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate effectively with general education staff
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct special education support to students in grades 6–8 through both push-in and pull-out instruction
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to accommodate a variety of learning styles and academic levels
  • Assess student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate regularly with families and team members
  • Partner with school personnel to foster a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Engage in professional development to continually enhance instructional effectiveness
