Special Education Teacher in Norristown, PA

Help transform the lives of young learners as an itinerant Special Education Teacher, serving community preschools throughout the region. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by bringing specialized support directly to preschool students with diverse learning needs.

As part of a collaborative team, you'll travel between various local preschools, working with approximately 30 students. Your expertise will shape individualized strategies to foster growth and success for each child. You'll enjoy the flexibility of a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in PreK-4 and/or Special Education (emergency permits cannot be accepted)
• Previous experience working with preschool or early elementary students with special education needs preferred
• Strong communication and organization skills for collaborating with teachers, aides, and families
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and effectively manage a dynamic itinerant schedule
• Passion for supporting early intervention and inclusive education

Your responsibilities will include:

• Traveling to assigned community preschools to provide direct special education services
• Managing a caseload of approximately 30 students, designing and implementing individualized plans
• Collaborating closely with general education staff, therapists, and families to support student progress
• Maintaining accurate records of student performance and service delivery
• Participating in regular team meetings and ongoing training
