K-5 Special Education Teacher | Norristown, Pennsylvania

Make a significant impact in elementary education by supporting students with diverse learning needs in a dynamic, resource-based setting. We’re seeking experienced Special Education Teachers to work with students in grades K-5 across resource (push-in/pull-out), Life Skills, Autistic Support, and Learning Support classrooms. This contract opportunity provides the chance to educate and empower students in a collaborative, inclusive environment. With a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours (Monday through Friday) and placements spread across two engaging buildings, you'll find both variety and purpose in your daily work. The role runs through June 4, 2027, with an immediate start available and an hourly pay range of $37.15 to $54.26, depending on experience and credentials.

Qualifications:

• Valid Instructional I or II PA Certification in K-12 Special Education (no emergency certifications).
• Will consider out-of-state certifications for strong candidates.
• Experience in elementary grades (K-5) is highly preferred.
• Skills in classroom management and differentiated instruction.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to student growth and individualized support.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver K-5 special education services in resource, Life Skills, Autistic Support, or Learning Support settings.
• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), adapting lessons for diverse learners.
• Provide targeted instruction through push-in and pull-out models.
• Collaborate with general education staff, aides, and related service providers.
• Track, document, and report student progress.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
