1st Grade Kindergarten Special Education Teacher in Norristown, PA

Qualifications:

• PA Special Education certification preferred
• Consideration for out-of-state licenses and those eligible for emergency certification
• Experience or strong interest in supporting early elementary students (Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grades)
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and ability to implement IEPs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver tailored lessons for students in a K–2 Autistic Support classroom
• Implement and monitor individualized instructional plans, accommodations, and behavior supports
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, school staff, and families
• Track student progress and contribute to IEP meetings and student goal-setting
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment

Position Details:

• Full-time contract position, 37.5–40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
• Immediate start with an assignment extending through June 11, 2027
• Pay ranges from $35-$42 per hour for emergency certified educators, and $42-$52 per hour for certified teachers
