Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Instructional I or II Pennsylvania Certification in K-12 Special Education
• Emergency certificates will be considered for experienced, well-prepared candidates
• Proven experience working with secondary age students in a special education setting
• Strong classroom management and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet a variety of learning profiles
• Dedication to promoting a positive, inclusive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for secondary students
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to support each learner’s unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster student success
• Track student progress, maintain updated records, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Create engaging lesson plans that motivate and inspire students to reach their potential
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education laws and regulations
