Make a real difference in the lives of young learners by using your expertise as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract role, serving substantially separate classrooms for K-1st and 3rd-5th grade students. This position is based onsite and welcomes experienced travel professionals who are passionate about supporting students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities.

You’ll work in dedicated settings tailored to students who may be non-verbal, on the autism spectrum, and require toileting assistance. Collaboration with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) is part of the role, amplifying the impact of your skills. Experience designing individualized instruction and knowledge of applied behavior analysis are highly valued.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working in substantially separate classrooms or with severe special needs populations preferred
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis and specially designed instruction
  • Ability to provide toileting support with dignity and discretion
  • Comfortable assisting students with both cognitive and physical disabilities
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of K-1st or 3rd-5th grade students
  • Implement specially designed instructional strategies and ABA techniques
  • Support students with personal care needs, including toileting assistance
  • Work closely with RBTs, paraprofessionals, and classroom support staff
  • Track and document student progress, collaborating with IEP teams and families
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
