Special Education Teacher | North Adams, Massachusetts

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
• Previous experience teaching students with severe disabilities
• Strong background in specially designed instruction and applied behavior analysis (preferred)
• Ability to provide toileting and personal care assistance
• Comfortable supporting students on the autism spectrum, including those who are non-verbal
• Experience collaborating with RBTs or support staff a plus
• Committed to working onsite, full-time, with flexibility to adapt to dynamic classroom needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction in a substantially separate setting
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse cognitive and physical abilities
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, RBTs, and related service providers
• Implement IEP goals and track data on student progress
• Assist students with daily living activities, including toileting and mobility
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
