Special Education Teacher - North Bennington, Vermont

What You’ll Need:

• Active Vermont Special Education Teacher certification preferred; candidates with pending certification are encouraged to apply.
• Experience teaching or supporting 6-8th grade students, especially in a self-contained classroom, is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with fellow educators, specialists, and families.
• Dedication to differentiated instruction and behavior support.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to IEP goals.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans for a small, self-contained caseload (6-10 students).

• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families to support each student’s needs.
• Monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings.
