In this contract position, you’ll work with grades 9–12, providing direct instruction and resource support to students with mild to moderate needs in an inclusive environment. Your expertise will empower students to achieve their goals while advancing a collaborative and engaging classroom culture.

Assignment Overview:

  • Schedule runs from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM, aligning perfectly with school-day hours.
  • Immediate start date; the assignment continues through June 11.
  • Serve students in both resource and inclusion class settings, supporting diverse learning styles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted, standards-based instruction tailored to IEP objectives.
  • Support students in inclusion and resource classrooms, adapting materials and strategies as needed.
  • Work closely with general education faculty and support staff to facilitate integrated services.
  • Track and document student progress, providing ongoing feedback and instructional adjustments.
  • Uphold rigorous compliance with Connecticut’s and district’s special education regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification for grades 9–12 is required.
  • Provisional licenses are not accepted for this role.
  • Prior experience working with mild to moderate disabilities at the secondary level is preferred.
