This contract position runs Monday through Friday from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a talented educational team.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience working with high school students (grades 9–12)
  • Familiarity with inclusion and resource room settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and instruct students with mild to moderate disabilities in both inclusive classroom and resource room settings
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lessons and assessments, ensuring all students access the curriculum
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), closely tracking student progress toward goals
  • Communicate regularly and compassionately with families, offering updates and resources
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and regular team planning sessions
  • Foster a culture of encouragement and high expectations in the classroom
