Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field
- Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience with elementary and/or middle school students desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Effective classroom management and a student-centered approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and academic support to students with diverse educational needs
- Share your expertise across elementary and middle school caseloads
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Offer differentiated instruction and accommodations tailored to each learner
- Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff
- Contribute to IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
