Position overview
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated High School Resource Special Education Teacher for an onsite contract assignment in North Haven, Connecticut area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time education industry position supporting high school students with learning disabilities in a resource setting. The successful candidate will collaborate with school staff to provide targeted instruction, accommodations, and individualized support that promotes student progress.

Pay:
- $34–$40 per hour for DSAP-certified teachers
- $41–$55 per hour for teachers holding a full Connecticut 065/165/265 Special Education K–12 certification

Responsibilities
The teacher will deliver specialized instruction to students receiving resource support while adapting lessons to address individual learning needs. Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, monitoring academic progress, documenting student performance, and providing appropriate accommodations and modifications. The educator will also work closely with general education teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to maintain consistent academic and behavioral support.
Requirements
Candidates should hold the appropriate Connecticut special education certification for the assignment, with consideration given to educators holding a DSAP credential or a full 065, 165, or 265 Special Education K–12 certification. Experience working with high school students and learners with disabilities is preferred, particularly in a resource or inclusive classroom environment. Applicants should demonstrate strong communication, organization, classroom management, and collaboration skills.
Compensation and benefits
Soliant Education offers competitive weekly pay based on certification, qualifications, and experience, with the higher compensation range available to teachers holding the full Connecticut 065/165/265 Special Education K–12 certification. Eligible contract educators can receive health, dental, and vision insurance along with a 401k plan. Weekly pay provides consistent compensation throughout the assignment.
