Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Special Education Teaching License required
- Previous classroom experience working directly with children diagnosed with dyslexia
- Degree in Special Education or a related field preferred
- Proven ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual learner needs
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and staff
Role Responsibilities:
- Teach special education classes for students in specified elementary or middle school grade bands, maintaining a caseload of approximately 10-12 students
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Utilize creative and effective interventions for students with dyslexia
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to integrate IEP goals in classroom activities
- Regularly assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed
