Special Education Teacher - North Richland Hills, Texas

As a Special Education Teacher in this role, you will:

• Deliver targeted math instruction to high school students in a self-contained SPED classroom setting.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), fostering both academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to ensure every learner’s unique needs are met.
• Use adaptive materials and differentiated instruction to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to ongoing intervention and support planning.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and motivating classroom culture.

Qualifications:

• Valid SPED EC-12 certification required.
• Valid High School Math certification required.
• Prior experience in a high school SPED setting, particularly with self-contained classrooms, is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and teams.

This full-time contract offers a consistent 35-hour work week. Pay begins at $35 per hour, and you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package. This position is located conveniently near North Richland Hills, TX.
