Special Education Teacher - North Wilkesboro, NC

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active North Carolina Teaching License, qualified for middle and high school levels
• Experience in special education settings preferred, especially inclusion/resource models
• Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies to varied learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to providing equitable educational experiences and supporting students with diverse needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective instructional strategies and individualized plans for students in both middle and high school settings
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and other special education staff to support students within the inclusion/resource model
• Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and provide ongoing feedback to families and team members
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and accommodations to remove barriers to learning
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
