Special Education Teacher - Northfield, Vermont

Two in-person roles are available working directly with students at the middle and elementary levels, allowing you to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners. Qualifications & Experience:

• Current state certification meeting all Special Education requirements
• Demonstrated experience within an educational setting, preferably with middle or elementary students
• Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to in-person instruction (remote/virtual options are not available for these openings)
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, families, and student support teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person special education services to a dedicated caseload—either middle school or elementary
• Assess, design, and adjust instructional materials and strategies based on individual student needs
• Monitor student progress, maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with state mandates
• Collaborate with general educators and related service providers to foster inclusive educational environments
• Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and support as needed
