Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Education or related field.
  • Previous teaching experience in Special Education, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various learning disabilities and best instructional strategies.
  • Skilled in planning, writing, and implementing IEPs in collaboration with families and specialists.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and compassion in a dynamic classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with varying needs.
  • Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods for optimal learning.
  • Develop and update IEPs in partnership with team members and parents.
  • Foster a supportive and structured classroom atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in school meetings, ongoing professional development, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
