Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state
• Prior experience working in a school setting with students requiring individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons for a variety of learning styles and needs
• Comfortable employing positive behavioral interventions and supports

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Differentiate instruction and modify classroom activities to accommodate a range of skill levels
• Track student progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a supportive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed of student growth and progress
