Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive elementary resource setting. This part-time contract role serves K–5 students in a pull-out classroom, offering focused support to help each child excel academically and socially. The position follows the school calendar, starting mid-September 2026 through June 2027, with a steady schedule Monday through Thursday from 9am to 2pm (20 hours weekly).

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid 165 or 165 CT Special Education PK-12 certification (DSAP licenses are not accepted)
  • Solid background working with elementary-age children in special education settings
  • Experience with individualized instruction and resource room/pull-out models preferred
  • Skills in developing and implementing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and using evidence-based teaching strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families

Your role will include:

  • Delivering tailored, small-group and one-on-one instruction to K–5 students with diverse learning needs
  • Planning and adapting lessons, scaffolded by students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Partnering with classroom teachers and related service providers to integrate and monitor student progress
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and student records
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where each student feels empowered to learn and succeed

This opportunity offers a pay range of $37–$47 per hour, reflecting experience and certification. The part-time schedule provides work-life balance and meaningful engagement in students’ growth and development.
