K-5 Special Education Teacher | Norwalk, Connecticut

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement (165 or 165 PK-12 required; DSAP licenses not accepted)
• Experience or interest in supporting K-5 students in a resource/pull-out classroom setup
• Understanding of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with general educators, related service providers, and families
• Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere

In this position, you will:

• Deliver individualized and small group instruction to elementary-aged students in a pull-out setting
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support ongoing communication with parents
