Special Education Teacher in Norwalk, CT

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction across core subjects, adapting lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
• Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student.
• Attend and present at IEP meetings, communicating progress and strategies to multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Conduct student testing and ongoing goal tracking to monitor academic and behavioral progress.
• Focus teaching efforts in the classroom, while case management duties are handled by central administration, allowing you to concentrate fully on instruction and student development.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education endorsement.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and executing IEPs.
• Minimum of two years of recent teaching experience in special education.
