Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct and support high school students with diverse learning needs in compliance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs geared toward student growth and achievement
• Attend and present at IEP meetings, collaborating with families and educational teams
• Conduct student testing and maintain ongoing goal tracking to monitor progress
• Focus on teaching core academic subjects and adapting curriculum for individualized learning requirements
• Classroom case management is overseen by district administrative staff, allowing you to focus on teaching and student engagement

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Endorsement
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and implementing effective IEPs
• At least two years of recent classroom experience as a special education teacher
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
