You’ll be part of a supportive educational team for the 2026/2027 school year, working full-time, Monday through Friday, for 35-37.5 hours each week. There are two very impactful roles available:
Qualifications:
- Special education certification or eligibility for certification in Connecticut (required)
- Preferred experience with reading intervention programs such as SPIRE, WILSON, OG
- Skilled in supporting students with diverse academic and executive functioning needs
- Collaborative, enthusiastic approach to working with students and faculty
Responsibilities:
- One position: teach 6th grade ELA and Specialized Reading, 6th grade Math, and Specialized Math
- Apply reading intervention strategies where needed
- Second position: provide academic assistance for grades 6-8, focusing on executive functioning and core subject support in a resource setting
- Track student progress and adapt teaching to individual needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school stakeholders
