Key Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with neuro-diverse students, preferably at the high school level
• Familiarity with self-contained classroom teaching methods and differentiated instruction
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to create an engaging, supportive, and structured learning environment
• Dedication to promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and positive behavior support

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction to high school students in a self-contained classroom
• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to implement IEPs and behavioral strategies
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress
• Adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each student
• Foster a classroom community that celebrates individuality and promotes students' self-advocacy skills
