Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience or interest in resource/co-teaching or self-contained high school settings
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Comfortable providing differentiated instruction to students with neurodiverse profiles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Positive, patient, and resourceful approaches to challenges

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute individualized lesson plans to address IEP goals
  • Work directly with students in resource/co-teaching classrooms or a self-contained setting, depending on assignment
  • Use data-driven instruction to monitor and document student progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team planning
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive
