Special Education Teacher in Nottoway, VA

This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide impactful, individualized education in a co-taught setting at two supportive schools. You’ll collaborate onsite with experienced teams serving students in grades 3–4 at Blackstone Primary School and grades 7–8 at Nottoway Middle School, each with manageable caseloads under ten students.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (or eligibility) for Virginia
• Demonstrated success in co-teaching models and differentiated instruction
• Experience crafting and implementing IEPs for diverse learning needs
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal special education regulations
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills
• Flexibility to adapt strategies for individual and small-group instruction

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, inclusive educational experiences as a co-teacher
• Design, modify, and assess individualized lesson plans for students with varied needs
• Monitor student progress and maintain data-driven documentation
• Foster supportive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
