What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential issued by the state of California
- Previous experience in SDC classrooms or working with students with diverse learning needs (preferred)
- Strong skills in building relationships with students, families, and fellow educators
- Proficiency in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual education goals
- Excellent classroom management and organization abilities
- Commitment to compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct instruction and academic support to assigned Kindergarten and 1st grade SDC students
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Tailor curriculum and interventions to address students’ unique learning profiles
- Collaborate and consult regularly with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and other members of the educational team
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom climate where every student is valued and supported
- Maintain accurate records and clear communication with families and school staff
