A direct hire opportunity awaits an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher ready to support Kindergarten and 1st grade students in a Special Day Class (SDC) setting for the remainder of the school year, extending through the end of the 2024-2025 academic year.

In this role, your expertise will help shape the educational experience for young learners. You will:

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction to a K-1st grade SDC caseload.
• Create, maintain, and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Modify curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate unique student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach.
• Foster a supportive classroom environment prioritizing academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Adhere to all federal and state special education compliance requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid California Special Education teaching credential.
• Previous experience working with Special Day Class (SDC) settings or similar preferred.
