Qualifications & Experience Desired:

  • Valid Education Specialist Credential or Moderate/Severe special education license required
  • Experience or passion for working with high school students in a special education setting
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborative approach to working with staff, students, and families
  • Effective classroom management skills, with adaptability to student needs
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction for a caseload of high school students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Implement and monitor student IEPs, ensuring measurable progress toward goals
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers
  • Engage parents and guardians in the educational process and student progress
  • Maintain detailed documentation, meeting all compliance requirements
  • Foster positive social, behavioral, and academic growth within a supportive classroom
