Two contract positions are now available for dedicated Special Education Teachers to support high school students in both Moderate/Severe and Mild/Moderate programs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work full time, providing essential services within an educational setting near Oakland, CA.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current certification in Special Education with California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for Moderate/Severe specialization—required
• Previous experience working with high school students in special education preferred
• Ability to support students with a range of learning needs, including both mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ individual needs and learning goals
• Employ evidence-based instructional strategies across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related services staff, and families to ensure student progress
• Track and document student progress, assessments, and relevant data
• Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities to meet diverse learning requirements
• Maintain compliance with state and district special education regulations
