Special Education Teacher - Oakland, CA

There are two full-time roles available: one supporting K-2 students and another serving K-5th grade. Both positions focus on mild to moderate needs and require an active California mild/moderate credential.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active California Special Education credential in mild/moderate
• School-based experience with students in grades K-2 and/or K-5th preferred
• Strong ability to adapt instruction and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Outstanding communication and documentation skills
• Dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide engaging instruction and interventions that address diverse learning styles
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
• Work collaboratively with general education staff, support providers, and families
• Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with district and state requirements
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere that enables student success

This contract position offers attractive pay between $45 and $55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
