Special Education Teacher | Oakland, Illinois

Step into a rewarding part-time position supporting young learners as a PreK Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in a resource setting, guiding a small group of 8–10 PreK students near Oakland, IL. With services offered through both push-in and pull-out models, you'll play a vital role in fostering growth and development for students at a critical stage in their education.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialized, individualized instruction for a small PreK caseload.
• Employ resource setting strategies, utilizing both push-in and pull-out service delivery.
• Create, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student success.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is compliant with state and district policies.

Preferred Background and Skills:

• Active Illinois LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist 1) License.
• PreK endorsement is required.
• Previous experience in early childhood special education is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

This part-time position allows for dedicated connection with students while maintaining a balanced schedule throughout the academic year, from August 17, 2026 through May 31, 2027.
