Special Education Teacher - Oatman, Arizona

Multiple Special Education Teachers are needed for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a contract position catering to high school students, ensuring tailored support and guidance that extends beyond the classroom.

Your commitment will be four days a week with hours from 7:30am to 3:30pm. Flexibility is appreciated, as IEP meetings may take place before or after regular school hours. The caseload will be established as pre-registration continues, offering the chance to impact a wide range of learners.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification and Arizona teaching credential
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to each student's needs and abilities
• Track student progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Engage with parents and guardians to support student achievement and well-being
