Special Education Teacher in Oatman, AZ

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification to teach Special Education for high school students
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families
• Experience adapting curriculum and instruction based on individual needs
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Participate in IEP meetings, typically held before or after official school hours
• Manage a caseload (specific assignments will be determined pending final registration)
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring for student goals
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
• Foster a safe and encouraging classroom environment that promotes growth and independence

Position Details:

• Contract runs from August 3, 2026, through May 25, 2027
• Serve high school age learners during the 4-day academic week (7:30am - 3:30pm)
