Qualifications:
- Active and valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Prior experience teaching elementary-aged students in an ESE or special education setting
- Strong knowledge of current instructional methods, IEP development, and progress monitoring for students with diverse needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working closely with students, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility, creativity, and compassion in adapting instruction and approaches
Responsibilities:
- Teach and support elementary ESE students in-person, implementing IEPs and adapting curriculum as needed
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation and positive behavior
- Track and document student progress, provide feedback, and meet program compliance requirements
- Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to ensure consistent strategies and supports
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and goals
